The Unique Tourism Collection to represent renowned designer George Cooper’s KK Collection

The Unique Tourism Collection (UTC) has been appointed to represent Sri Lanka’s KK Collection in Australia. The creation of renowned interior designer George Cooper, KK Collection encompasses two complementary and equally chic boutique hotels, Kahanda Kanda and KK Beach.

Owner and founder, George Cooper said, “KK Collection is a unique proposition for the Australian market as it captures the best of the Galle experience transporting guests seamlessly from jungle to ocean.  Our approach is intimate and personal for all guests and we welcome the opportunity to work with UTC to share this experience with their travel partners.”

Kahanda Kanda is the original of the stylish stable located just 15 kilometres from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Galle Fort in Sri Lanka. Set on a working tea plantation, Kahanda Kanda maintains the gentle and timeless ‘country life’ intrinsic to this area. The resort’s elegant design was born of a collaboration between renowned English interior designer George Cooper and Sri Lanka based Australian architect Bruce Fell-Smith. Each of the ten individually designed villas take in breathtaking panoramic views of lush greenery through large glass windows and offer guests all the luxuries of five-star service whilst maintaining a sense of privacy.

From jungle to coast, KK Beach is set on the stunning Sri Lankan coastline just 12km from Galle Fort. On its conception in 2016, Cooper felt the need to create a beachside resort that was stylish yet affordable. The resort features hues of the Mediterranean through its chic décor and displays the work of home-grown artists giving it local flavour. The ten contemporary beachfront suites have floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that afford guests uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean.

Design doesn’t stop at aesthetics with the menus at both resorts reflecting the same attention to detail. The menu changes daily and is strictly seasonal using only the best and freshest produce available at any given time.

Shuttle services operate daily between the two resorts allowing guests the best of both worlds. A short tuk tuk or taxi ride takes guests from the serenity of each resort into the hustle and bustle of culture, shopping and sun kissed beaches the area is renowned for.

Experience KK Collection with their Best of Both World’s 6 or 9-night packages. Stay between KK Beach and Kahanda Kanda, learn how to recreate a local Sri Lankan dish with a cooking class, unwind with two massages and enjoy a guided tour of KK Tea Estate.
