Stunning Thai five-star resort, Rayavadee, is renowned for its amazing dining experiences – one of which invites guests to enjoy indulgence and adventure whilst nestled in the cavernous Krabi landscape.

The Grotto restaurant, one of the acclaimed property’s four dining venues, is set in seclusion under an ancient limestone cliff on the edge of Phranang Beach, lapping a special piece of the Andaman Sea which continues to draw collections of fishing boats and other vessels of all shapes and sizes soaking up this magnificent location dotted by a range of outlying and fascinating islands.

The perfect setting for a leisurely lunch with family or friends or savouring one of the resort’s amazing cocktails as the sun goes down on another day in paradise, The Grotto takes on a new look and feel in the evening as candlelight flickers against the rock walls and elegant table settings which adorn this enclosed haven.

Guests will indulge in the finest of food, complemented by an impressive list of Champagnes, wines, beers, spirits and other local and international beverages – as soft sand underfoot enhances the ambience of the relaxing and peaceful surrounds.

Overseeing all of the meals presented in The Grotto and throughout Rayavadee’s array of restaurants and indoor and outdoor settings, is Italian-born Giacomo Turzo whose enduring passion for food has followed him from many of the top hotels and dining rooms throughout the world to Rayavadee.

Chef Giacomo’s dedicated team of combined young and experienced professionals have been sourced from Thailand and overseas, including Chef de Cuisine, Amphan Chaiyawan, who fell in love with cooking Thai food from an early age when living with her aunt and continues to bring innovative and tantalising dishes to the table.
